You know I think Sam is repressing all his emotions because he needs to save Dean. He must be feeling guilty as hell about the deal. I've noticed that the only time we see something is when Dean is concerned. I think we'll see a very dark Sam before this is over. He'll sell his soul too, in a way, to save Dean.

And I'm not so sure he ever will find his way back.
