'All John got now were searing glares and the, very Mary-like, killing silence. John had no idea how to handle his youngest son, Sam seemed like a mine field in a foreign country.'
Sigh. That's so eloquent.
This installment was every bit as wonderful I thought it would be. I like the alternating POV's as each family member contemplates how Sam is drifting away. And really, it's not unheard of for a younger sibling to feel like they're constantly held up to a higher standard set by the older. Although in this case, it's not just a feeling -- John really does seem to favor Dean which has been my take all along.
Do I need to nag you to cut loose with subsequent parts or will you keep me well fed at a reasonable pace :)
