Honestly, I'm not too keen on a romance between Tony and Ziva either - I ship them like mad, but not only do I not trust NCIS to write that convincingly or in a way that wouldn't screw up the team dynamic, I also think that they'd be a bloody TRAIN-WRECK together.
On the flip side, I doubt they'd actually go there. Tony and Ziva have been VERY shippy this whole season, but then, so were they in season 3.
There's nothing better for shippers than UST, I haven't seen one show pull off the actual romance believably yet. It always comes across as a mess, so please nooooo!
I rewatched that scene a few times because I was, again, thinking I'd missed an episode . . . or a season . . .
Actually, I had to keep replaying parts because I was "huh" the whole time. I thought I was just getting stupid in my old age, but since you say you are baffled, maybe I am not all that stupid after all.
So I'm not the only one that almost lost the last marble? I was like uh? eh, WTF? That scene was totally OOC for the show and Ziva. I'm already fearing the demise of a friggen good show.
This is just one reason you and I are friends!! Last night rocked and apart from the TIVA it was perfect. I did a happy dace with Tony's confentation with Gibbs. That was so well done and it was great to see the respect he is giving Tony this year. On top of that the episode was just kick ass. I don't get Vance either but I am sure time will tell on him.
I personally hate what this TIVA thing is doing to the Ziva character. She was so bad ass but now she is like a 16 year old with a crush. She screwed up on a job because she was concerned for Tony? Some Mossad trained assassin she is!! They are destoying her!
Any way rant done and like I said apart from the shipp from hell it was great. I need ot find some Anti-Tiva icons and I think all will be right in my world!

Normal relationships are an imposibility on a tv-show, don't they know that already? And I'll write some very nasty emails if Ziva's character is assassinated because of thhe nneed to always mix some twue wuv into the soup! Damned them if this happens. Why are women always portrayed as totally losing their minds if they get the hots for someone? And like you say, a Mossad? WTF?
I can't wait for the next ep because my head is reeling with this new turn. *does giddy dance*
Who knows why they do this crap but just like always the "general CSI" communties are getting taken over by TIVA fans who think that NCIS is all about them!! I hate to see it happen but I think they will be in a big shock at the end of the year. TPTB have said that they will be following this storyline all year but that it will end badly for one of them and my guess it that it will be Ziva since she is being an idiot now. I hate to see her become another Sara but it looks like it will happen. She was so kick ass and now she is pathetic. Such a shame ;-)
Oh well aside from that the show is 100% fav!!! Plus Tony is just moving up and up in my opinion. He rocked last week.
