Bones is back!

And no lingering on the possible shark jumper of a brain tumor! Yay!
Cyndi Lauper as a psychic, double squee!
So the romance is established, albeit with an interesting twist and I hope this one is treated better than a certain one that wrecked and entire show.
I'm getting more and more sweet on Sweets. He's just right in his role as the doubting psychologist. There really never are any straight answer in that trade. So the neurological explanation was a little off, he was talking about the brain's reactions to falling in love, not loving, but that's really besides the point. Loving is still a mystery, all we know is it has its roots in the materia grigia. Something needs to stay a mystery in life.
The writing over all is brilliant, the acting is brilliant, I love this show. I adore every character, and I can buy the cases. The ending to this in particular was very believable. I believe tis season will be as stellar as the earlier ones.

There's no one that's really taken over my heart (Sweets, stay back!) like it did in CSI and SPN and maybe it's better that way? I'm not too invested in one single character. Maybe that's really the way to go? I feel no need to ship anyone (except Cam and Brennan, but a smidgen only); I will be happy with whatever show gives me.

I feel tempted to make animated icons - I mean, the socks! But this is a fandom I won't ever go near, nor will I ever jinx anything with creations of my own. Hey, magical thinking is not sane! Shush, I need to live in this little castle right now, okay?

Looks sternly at JPad and Eads: you two had me fall head over heals and now my heart bleeds for your caracters' treatment on your shows. Bad, bad boys!

The CSI promo looks promising, I feel some kind of hope that Nick will actually be on the show this season, returning. Of course, I may be bitterly deluded by the fifth eppie. I just hope the romance will never be brought up textually. it's done with , move on folks! A little Nick and no cringe worthy romance, that's all I am asking.

I watched the Space promo for SPN and it struck me how alike Dean and Cas are. They talk a lot without actually saying anything. And man, do they come off as self-righteous the pair of them? I'm guessing Kripke's fanservice will he plenty of sexual undertones between them this season because by the looks of it, Dean is really romancing himself in a mirror named Castiel. What am I saying? Guessing? I am convinced because Kripke is pwned and very WYSIWYG. Skipping this one too, I feel like I am watching the Cas/Dean talk show from that clip. Sam's the only one with any action. And judging by the actions, he will get teared a new one by fandom, yet again. I wish I hadn't stumbled on that clip. It gave me the exact feeling of the promos with the GSR: plucked in there only to appease the loud part of the fandom and had the producers forced to personality transplant Griss. This may end in me not even being able to re-watch S1 and 2.

*must not read spoilers*...

I can't wait to watch it tonight. :)

I'm living in denial, I'm not watching SPN so I don't know what is happening. I'm tired of this Dean/Castiel melodrama and two months full of BuddyTV made me realized that Kripke just wants to please Dean/Jensen's fans, why? I don't know and I don't really care because if things changes it'd be because Kripke wants to keep us quiet.
Now with the slash/incest part of that fan girls last episode I'm completely sure that the Dean/Cas paring is so gonna be implied all this last crappy season.
Why can't Jared follow his friend's step? I wouldn't ge mad if he say adios to the show.

[identity profile] starbright73.livejournal.com 2009-09-18 03:05 pm (UTC)(link)
yes, jared needds to step off this train-wreck. I don't care what Kipke does aymore it'll be too ittle too late for me anyhow. I'm tired of oly hero Dean, I'm tired of his two mode beaior snarily pissed off or weepily depressed. And Castiel is right there with him,; it's like they have no normally conficted emotions in the same scene. It always blazing anger or tear drippig angst from hell betwee the forced coolness. Been so for a long while with the both of them and I can't take the melodrama anylonger. The campy one liners are every episode is making me roll my eyes. dean was far more mature in S1 than he is now, mouthing off to everybody as a preteen. Just to be cool.

I hope Cas/Dean get married and kill Sam at sweeps in November. Just poof.

That would mean that Jared is free to film some pilots or take some other roles.

Dear Kripke, keep Jensen and Misha but for the love of everything holy, let Jared go. He's done his on your show. The fricken dependency storyline is so old and soapish I could cry.

Yeah, Bones was great tonight. They pretty much doused out most of the problems from last season in this episode.

I think the point you made about no single character taking over your heart is an excellent point, because for me, the show depends on the entire cast, and everyone has such excellent chemistry on screen together, that they all excel. :) And having such a terrific and balanced overall cast is way more entertaining to watch than a show with one or two awesome characters mixed in with a bunch of mediocre junk.

As for the brain thing from Sweets, I don't think it was his intention to prove anything to Booth, but more to make him think about things, and to give him the same warning that Cam did. I think the brain scans came in to play, because that's probably what Bones would see, and she showed that to be the case later on in the episode, and Sweets wanted Booth to consider that aspect of things as well.

I agree - I was a little bit scared they'd botch it up but they dodged the bullet with the ep. I love that Booth, despite being raised catholic and still having faith, is so adamant on believing only what he sees IRL. And yes, I agree that Sweets needed those scans to make Booth reflect on the 'evidence'. Perfect IMHO.

Yes, you're far better off when you enjoy the entire cast. Then again, good writers are capable of making you enjoy the cast simply by not pushing cheap melodramatic points or milk for sympathy. Which many writers seem to resort to at some point. And if they tart milking for sympathy, then my reaction is always the exact opposite. *g*

After that opening, I have full trust in the writers capacity to balance the story.

HA, I haven't watched the episode yet and only have seen the promo and Dean/Castiel shippers went boom.
Now they are the "new black". As long they let Sam do his job, (let Jared plays his character so well as he always do).
I mean, people is paying more attention to the new 'couple', but for who that has a serious look on the brothers, will notice the story of another character and FOR SURE will pay attention to a young and good actor who plays this character named Sam Winchester. And it means he'll rock in this season Bright, JARED WILL ROCK!!!
But we all know that because he always do well.

I saw 5.03 promo and guess what??? Beside Dean at Impala??? Castiel!!!
I shouldn't be surprise about that...

[identity profile] starbright73.livejournal.com 2009-09-18 03:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Jaed always rocks what little they give him. He needs so very little material to totally steal the scene. I love the downtoned style of his acting; it's organic and he makes you feel Sam's emotions, not only see them. That is the mark of a great actor.

I will never forget the scene at the end of WTLB were he goes from pleading to incredulous delusion and then anger in one short scene. So very fluid, so brilliantly realistic that I held my breath.

He is wasting his talent on the melodrama SPN has tuned into. Cas/Dean can take a hike with their explosions of emotions limited to angst, anger and teeny snark. They can ride the Impala for 10 seasons on the CW as long as Jared gets off and ASAP!

I will probably watch the next ep, for the 10 minutes of Sam but I will be FFing the Cas/Dean parts because frankly, at this point, I am not interested anymore. I know Dean is the only hero, I know he can do no wrong. I Know Cas fangirls him. Why would I bother watching? Fandom wants Cas/Dean, fandom will get it and I couldn't care less.

[identity profile] fabilimah.livejournal.com 2009-09-19 11:24 am (UTC)(link)
and that's the reason that I'm still watching SN. He is (and will) doing great. Bright he was amazing in this last episode when he saw the blood and almost not resisted to it.
And at the end talking to Dean about what he really fells, GOD!
I know that I'm a hard Sam girl and I think because of that my focus is only on him at this moment, I'm only paying attention in him because I'm not loving Dean right now.

[identity profile] starbright73.livejournal.com 2009-09-19 12:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe I will be able to wath the episodes if, and that is a big if, Kripke allows Sam to be heroic one time before this ends But right now, Kripke and his vision of what is heroic irks me too much. he can keep his Dean/Cas show for now,

Yes, I am an ESG (evil Sam girl) and I'm never forgiving Kripke for the show he ruined when the good producer left in S2,

[identity profile] fabilimah.livejournal.com 2009-09-19 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh Bright tell me about it, but you know what? It has to be a reason for this no-nothing-for-Sam-this-season from Kripke and writters.
Something big is coming to him, maybe they don't want to say anything about it because it will be a big twist or because they fear the EDG, I don't know, but I hope for a big Sam Winchester time!

[identity profile] starbright73.livejournal.com 2009-09-20 03:19 pm (UTC)(link)
The eason is simpe, Kripke has nothing *pouts* I don't believe they have anythin left for Sam since all his storylines are going to Dean. Sam evidently needs to grow up, nothing else. Because he wasn't the one off on his own during the Staford years. I can't believe how Kripke is following the wishes of a small faction of the fandom and feels the need to destroy the story to get there. Now Sam is apparently addicted to just blood, not demon blood but just blood? his powers where all in the demon blood? Let's forget S1 and 2 where he had powers without sipping blood, shall we?

Sam's story has been butchered to give room for saint!Dean and his angel. This is just going to be and other Dean angst season, with some Dean humor episodes in between. Same ole, same ole. Seen it for 4 seasons now and I'm so done with it.

[identity profile] fabilimah.livejournal.com 2009-09-21 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
Kripke has nothing *pouts*

I remember in reading an interview which was asked to Kripke about the story behind Ruby's knife and he'd answered that it has a story and we'll know about it.
I thought: 'Bulshit Kripke! You don't know what to do with its story!!! loool
It'll be better if he said the knife isn't important
hahaha

Like Dean's amulet in the last episode, wtf??? I read a cute theory about it: Sam's love will lead them to salvation. It's adorable and all I know, but c'mom this is not the true, it's not te real reason for the amulet.
