Community: This is how you do a meta-ep! Clay-figures!  Philosophy and psychology all rolled into one hilarious and yet so very deep look at society and the very roots of it with the very essential questions of  'being' aka 'belonging'.  Some shows should take notes.

Bones: I liked this deep look into the fears of the logically driven Bones. We do hide behind logic at times, to shield ourselves and it was brought forth beautifully in this ep. I always like psychoanalytic eps like these.

CSI: I love Brass, that's all I have to say. Better than most of the previous 2 season's eps but too little Nicky. I want to see if what was signaled in the first eps about a break-down is leading anywhere but the ball seem to have been dropped and the spoilers I've heard have me rolling my eyes. I do find it rather amusing that Sara and Nick seem to have traded places on the empathy-scale. Guess CM can't let go of her stand-in on show.  I just wish CM would have a little deeper insight in psychology because it's painfully evident that this is all wish-fulfillment and that is so not interesting. And can we quit making all mentally ill into murderers? Thank you. Truth is that they are far more likely to kill themselves than anyone else with the diagnose in question. I'm getting tired of this.

Cath's Nicky just broke my heart.  He's still her Nicky and I love her for it.

I haven't read fanfic in ages! And I don't even think I miss it. I miss writing thou. And I just tidied up my icons but there's a lot of JPad I can't get rid off for sentimental reasons. *side-eyes JPad*

Yes!

CSI = Oh Nicky!Dirty, )
The old team saved the ep and I hope TPTB keep this up and I may even watch.
And the best thing with Nicky-angst? It leads somewhere. Nicky picked up that phone! It's not only cheap emo-porn. Again, thank you, that's my kind of angst.

NCIS Not the best season opener ever but I do love my Tony and McGeek. I even got a little Palmer in there. I could do without the Gibbs wangst. I miss the days when he was slapping Tony. *g* I'm still not really seeing what this season's red thread will be about though unless it is Gibb's history coming to catch up with him?

Bones Now I get the time-jump! )

I'm pleasantly surprised with all three shows and I am sure NCIS will come back strong as ever in the next couple of eps. This week CSI came out the winner and that hasn't happened in years!

I feel like making icons!
starbright73: (Geeks)
Bones just keeps delivering with little snippets like these: )

Show, stay classy!

CSI - Color me surprised )
Welcome back show! See how good it works without forcing Langston down our throats PTB?

Since there was no NCIS and I was bored I resorted to this:
SPN very bored reaction )

Keep riding that flying shark, show!
starbright73: (Art)
Lol at the SPN reactions! The simmering has already started. )

This show needs to be a warning example for every aspiring producer and writer.

Bones \o/ )
This scene just had me in stitches and I had to make icons.

NCSI )

And CSI  )

At least I got some hot Nicky!
starbright73: (Geeks)
Watched some eps this morning, being lazy as hell.

\o/ Bones )

Nicky saved CSI )

And damnit, in my lost Vartann-fic for [profile] anmani, he was divorced and had a kid! I think it was in the prompt. *g*

I read that SPN )

I'm so ready for some NCIS now!

Eh?

Is Bones mocking SPN?

I just loved the ep but danged, either SPN is so generic that everything looks like it or the creators of Bones are having a good laugh at show. (Little?) brother thinking he's the devil and (big?) brother killing him off? Gabe (sic!) and Neil (champion), I wanna know if there's something behind those choices? This is the show that has Booth's little brother carrying the name Jared. Does somebody know someone?

Yes, I am a conspiration theorists, why do you folks think I adore this show?

Or - help! That crazy ass place was contagious and I'm doomed to see things that aren't there from now on?

And damned, Bones has actual writers working for them!

Oh Sweets, I love you and I find Cam so wonderfully human and hotass that I think I wanna marry her! And I do love the aspects of 'different' creeds and scientific thought played with constantly. Show is just stellar right now.

Uh, eh - should I put these under a tag? I don't think I have many Bones fans on my flist? Do I?

Ah Bones

I love thee! You have restored my faith in TV-writers. ♥

In comparison to certain shows, it is clear that you do research, you are kind of stellar with your characterization (for TV) and the cases are novel and tied to personal issues which makes the show so much more interesting. My kind of TV, thank you!

Brennan spouting off sciency babble had me in stitches. Sweets is an adorable dork and Hodgins, my favorite conspiracy-theorist ever!

A and I had our boy ogling night tonight instead of tomorrow since she fell into manure. Had to take her home and hose her off after I had finished laughing my ass off.

We had a lengthy discussion over a beer on which show to watch first and man got tired and plugged in the SPN USB. I have no say with that one *glares*

Damned you JPad, too gorgeous to be true and I had a fangasm! )

Enjoyed the Sam parts because they actually brought the story forward. The Cas/Dean parts with the clunky and slapstick humor made me miss earlier season's more subtle humor. Seems Kripke hasn't decided what to really do with Cas yet because his personality swings from left to right depending on Dean's needs. He's not really a character per se yet.

So this was one of the three eps I will watch this season, I'll give it a C, but Jared and Marc get A's. Pellegrino was perfectly creepily nice! The humor just didn't make me laugh nearly enough like it did in BDABR. It felt too clunky and dependent on potty-mouthed language.

just found the numbers: 2.76 million. A little down from last week's and if the trend is like this. The patten is clear and this is undoubtedly the last season. I am relieved. The Cas/Dean show is obviously not the hit Kripke expected it to be. I could have told him that!

Dear Bones, I was squicked, big time!  )

I give it a strong A-. Solid, intriguing case, the cat thing just peeved me! I'm sensitive when it come to kittens! Some scenes just plain grossed me out. The acting was stellar all around and I guess that's the difference between a big network show and CW,

Oh George, if they had any brains, you'd be the co-lead )

I still feel I get Langston pushed down my throat and I just tune out when he has solo scenes. And that was what destroyed the ep for me. Langston is too much and I'm just as off CSI as I am SPN. Won't watch other than Nicky-centric eps. This case did not hold my interest at all. I'm sorry CSI, you get a B, except for George who gets a big freaking A despite his background role. Shame on you producers!

Cut for spoilery squee! )
The writing over all is brilliant, the acting is brilliant, I love this show. I adore every character, and I can buy the cases. The ending to this in particular was very believable. I believe tis season will be as stellar as the earlier ones.

There's no one that's really taken over my heart (Sweets, stay back!) like it did in CSI and SPN and maybe it's better that way? I'm not too invested in one single character. Maybe that's really the way to go? I feel no need to ship anyone (except Cam and Brennan, but a smidgen only); I will be happy with whatever show gives me.

I feel tempted to make animated icons - I mean, the socks! But this is a fandom I won't ever go near, nor will I ever jinx anything with creations of my own. Hey, magical thinking is not sane! Shush, I need to live in this little castle right now, okay?

Looks sternly at JPad and Eads: you two had me fall head over heals and now my heart bleeds for your caracters' treatment on your shows. Bad, bad boys!

The CSI promo looks promising, I feel some kind of hope that Nick will actually be on the show this season, returning. Of course, I may be bitterly deluded by the fifth eppie. I just hope the romance will never be brought up textually. it's done with , move on folks! A little Nick and no cringe worthy romance, that's all I am asking.

I watched the Space promo for SPN and it struck me how alike Dean and Cas are. They talk a lot without actually saying anything. And man, do they come off as self-righteous the pair of them? I'm guessing Kripke's fanservice will he plenty of sexual undertones between them this season because by the looks of it, Dean is really romancing himself in a mirror named Castiel. What am I saying? Guessing? I am convinced because Kripke is pwned and very WYSIWYG. Skipping this one too, I feel like I am watching the Cas/Dean talk show from that clip. Sam's the only one with any action. And judging by the actions, he will get teared a new one by fandom, yet again. I wish I hadn't stumbled on that clip. It gave me the exact feeling of the promos with the GSR: plucked in there only to appease the loud part of the fandom and had the producers forced to personality transplant Griss. This may end in me not even being able to re-watch S1 and 2.
starbright73: (Dare_Brennan)
And Ellen Geer! The same lucky woman that got to grope Jared in Red Sky at Morning! Those scenes alone made the ep for me. I kind of adore her. I gotta see what movies she's been in and watch some.

spoilers )

I wish I could make icons without sending shows down the drain. I want an icon of when they walk away under the umbrella! *looks pleadingly in high_striker's direction* I wish I could fic without risking the same. Yes, I've regressed to magical thinking, but can you blame me?

On another note, (from google alerts) that had me laughing till I cried:
Jared Padalecki is dating Stephanie Ward's (or whatever, but you know who) step-daughter. Oh, interwebs, you are so crazy!

Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] fabilimah Jared and Misha do their best to promote bi rights and love. Gotta love them!

*giggle*

The new golden boys of SPN pulled in a whooping rating of 2.8, a one million drop from Smallville's despite Collins being all over the net this week. I rest my case and wish Kripke good luck with his new show. I will be following your ratings!

Bones! I love that show and even CSI was watchable this ep. Love the teaminess of it, it's like old days. I will have to re-watch the ep later. Second time in 2 seasons!

And I've started deleting all Jared bashers of my flist, I've simply had enough of them. He had very little screen-time, as usual but evidently the suckiness of this ep was all his fault, because Sam is an ass and yes, Jared can obviously play it so well that he too is hated, together with Sam. And still he can't act. Not taking it anymore, enough is enough. So if you're off my flist, that's the reason. Won't even bother to explain it personally. Have a nice life and good-bye. I'm sure we won't miss each other.
starbright73: (Default)
Wow! I didn't even know he was still in the industry! It's so nice to see old acquaintances!

Bones )

I'm pissed about the fact that most minor sibling are painted as being screw-ups. I take that personally, yo! We're just more left to our own while growing up and tend to be less tied down by expectations of parents and thus, from society. It's the quintessential self-fulfilling prophecy. See the sibling order is not set in stone, it changes as the psyche develops, it mutes with situation and focus. We are not born to be failures thank you very much media.

And Tony - the character I would usually be the least interested in is made so lovable thanks to Michael Wheaterly.
The bad boy with a golden heart is usually the character everybody loves and I end up being bored to death by. Not in this case. MW makes the archetype deeper and more believable because the 'every chick falls for me' angle is toned down and turned on its head. Tony tries but he really isn't getting that much for his efforts. And his heart of gold has just the right amount of selfishness to make it real. I so need to make more icons.

NCIS )

See, tha'st where Carol Mendelsohn dropped the spoon and it's never gonna find the bowl again. CSI was made into a soap with the romance and it's getting worse and worse with the emo!Grissom crying and pining. I adore Nick, I cheer for him and his dismissals of Griss. See, you told Nick once that it had to be over, why not take your own friggen advice. Nick did, and it's apparent that he's harboring everything inside. And dude! What he went through was far worse than getting ditched. He's also lost his best friend, and he's still hanging in there doing his job while you are all over the screen with your teeny wub and broken heart. It's not interesting, it's tiresome and old.

CM. you need to grow up!
starbright73: (Default)
Last night I sat down and watched all three series and wow! there's such a difference in quality of writing that it's staggering.

Bones )

A+

NCIS )
A

And then SPN )

I'm sorry Kripke, you lose big time in comparison. You only get a C, and much of that is based on your 4.1.
